Panels at Dragon*Con
My panels at Dragon*Con have been confirmed!
Last year I had to stay home, but this year I will be back! Dragon*Con is a huge fantasy, comic, movie, RPG, cosplay etc convention that is held at Atlanta on Labor Day weekend (August 29th to September 1st). As usual we will have a table for the Star Wars Combine at the Marriott, one of the four participating hotels.
This year I will do 3 panels, two for the Electronic Frontiers Forum and one for the Matters of the Force programming track. The EFF panels will be on Second Life and a look back to 10 years of history of the Star Wars Combine (I still can’t believe we are that old!) and the internet. The panle at MotF will be on influences of human history on Star Wars. I am really much looking forward to this. We had a great panel on mythology and Star Wars two years ago, and this might even be better. Especially it is more interesting as the whole “Star Wars and Myth” thing was getzing old. But this is really something fresh and Kevin J. Anderson and Rebecca Moesta will be on the panle as well. They had such a big input on the history of the Star Wars universe that it will be a great pleasure to hear where they got their inspirations from.
